I used to study in another university in the Netherlands. However, I was extremely dissatisfied so I quit it. I went back to Bulgaria, to a consultancy educational firm. At this firm they suggested me Fontys Eindhoven as the best opportunity for me. I decided to trust them so I started my higher education here.
Can you tell something about your campus / city?
I am studying in Fontys Eindhoven. I have never visited other campuses, but for me this one is the best. First of all, it is located at really strategic place, it is near the bus station and the city center. Moreover, it is surrounded by flats where foreign students can live. Within 5 minutes walk students you can reach the shopping street where you can find huge supermarkets like Lidl and AH. The city, on the other hand is amazing. It is clean and the streets are not that bustling. There are bus stops at numerous places. There is student’s street full of bars and clubs. The sightseeing are a lot. Furthermore, for the more sporty people, there is a huge Sport Center only for students where they can practice more than 50 sports.
Do you have some tips for new students?
First of all, it would be an advantage if they are prepared for the cultural shock. Dutch people are cold and sometimes too direct. What more, is that it would be great if students decide studying Dutch before coming to the Netherlands. Also, they should not underestimate the university. They should study hard during the whole year so they do not miss or fail anything related to their studies.
Anything you want to add…..
The Netherlands is one of the best countries for living and studying. The atmosphere here is amazing and if you have the opportunity to choose where in Netherlands to study, do not hesitate to choose Fontys Eindhoven.
