I wanted to follow an economics/marketing orientated education. When going through various options I kept coming back to the international orientated educations. It combined my interests for economics/marketing with an international twist. The reason why I ended up at Fontys was quite simple, it was convenience. IBMS was my preferred choice and Fontys Eindhoven could offer me this within a reasonable travel time from my residence.
Can you tell something about your campus / city?
Eindhoven provides all the facilities you will ever need during your educational career. From a student sport centre to active nightlife, it’s all there. The Fontys campus in Eindhoven is where you will spend a majority of your time if you decide to study here. It’s a nice environment that offers designated study places, computers and the ability to meet and catch up with your fellow students. .
Do you have some tips for new students?
Socialize! Dutch people are open and direct. Be prepared for this directness, don’t interpreted it as rudeness. The majority of Dutch people speak and understand the English language which is a big plus for non-Dutch speakers. Be proactive and make friends in your first year as a student. Friends will last throughout your entire Fontys career!
