The “Fontys way of studying” taught me how to put theory into practice. Fontys managed to find a great balance between the theoretical and practical part, which I believe is a very important factor in every school. It has helped me sharpen my skills in very short time and become a lot more productive.
Can you tell something about your campus / city?
Moving to the Netherlands has literally changed my life. I've developed very strong bonds with people from all over the world, and will continue to do so while pursuing my Software Engineering degree at Fontys in Venlo. It’s a small city, but if you’re a bit adventurous, you can find a lot of things to do. Venlo is also right next to the German border, so you have many other possibilities from here. It’s overall a great location.
Do you have some tips for new students?
A lot of new students worry about various topics, especially the international ones. My advice would be to make sure they analyze the study programme carefully and think multiple times before making a decision, since it’s a very important step to consider. If they are not sure about it, they can get in touch with us.
Anything you want to add…..
The Netherlands are a cycling heaven, so don’t forget to bring your bicycle, or buy one from here! The landscapes are amazing, and it would be a pity to miss them out.
