Growing up in Eindhoven I would pass the Fontys campus nearly every day on the way home from school. I never paid too much attention to Fontys until I decided I wanted to pursue physiotherapy. That was when I had started researching Fontys Eindhoven. I found that they not only had a physiotherapy program in Eindhoven that is taught in English. But that their physiotherapy program is the best one in the region.
As soon as I heard that I knew I had to apply and luckily I got accepted. I couldn’t be happier to have been accepted and given a chance to pursue my dreams while living in the city I am proud to call home.
Can you tell something about your campus / city?
Eindhoven is an incredibly international city. I was born and raised in Eindhoven, but attended an international school growing up. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to grow up, the city is so quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of places to go out for the night or evening and have fun with friends. We have the best football team in the Netherlands (PSV).
Other than all of that however, Eindhoven is full of beautiful natural areas such as the lake beside the Fontys Campus. Or the splinterpark near the woensel region, there’s so much to see and do in Eindhoven. It’s impossible not to feel at home and walk the streets knowing you’re safe. I can’t think of any other place I would call home.
Do you have some tips for new students?
Don’t underestimate the importance of having friends in your programme. I am lucky to have made some incredible friends during my studies at Fontys. We all spend a lot of time studying as it is a lot of hard work. But if it wasn’t for the friends I had made, I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have, as they’ve given me the support, I needed not only to succeed but be a better person. Thanks to them I feel ready to take on whatever challenge comes next. Make sure to study but don’t forget to have fun and make friends because I owe everything to my friends.
Good luck with all your future studies! As one of the student ambassadors, you can feel free to contact. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions or need any help.
