Living in Venlo

Studying in Venlo also means living in Venlo. You will meet people in the coziest of places, visit events, have a drink together or you can do sports together to stay in shape. It's all part of your student life!

The best way to experience student life in Venlo is to live in the city. Although Fontys does not have its own campus dorms, it has established cooperation’s with a number of different accommodations agencies and landlords (further on this website referred to as housing agency). Through such cooperation’s, Fontys can provide students with guidance in finding accommodation for the first semester or academic year at Fontys.

Fontys Venlo offers our first year Bachelor's students an option to apply for a room at one of our student accommodations.

Due to the fact, that we do not have on campus student rooms, Fontys Venlo cooperates with two rental agencies as well as a number of private landlords for accommodating our Bachelor's students. Unfortunately, Fontys only has a limited amount of student housing available through these housing agencies. On top of that, please note that the housing situation in Venlo is scarce. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you keep on trying to find a room yourself, also look in the border cities of Venlo and start your search process well in time. The sooner you start the better!

Please be aware that by filling in the application form you are not yet guaranteed a room through Fontys. After the deadline we will inform each student about their status.

Requirements

Start your very first year at Fontys Campus Venlo.
As of 15 November (February intake) and 20 May (September intake) the first rooms will be assigned to students that have submitted an application for a room
Apply for accommodation via the form below
Complete the enrolment requirements before the rooms are allocated.
You have to live outside the radius of 200 km from Venlo (applicants living less than 200 km from Venlo will be placed in the low priority list.

All dorms include the following:

You will share the kitchen, bathroom and toilet with a maximum of three other students. Each student has his/her own bedroom.
The kitchen is equipped with a diner table, refrigerator, stove, pots, pans, plates, cups and cutleri.
Washing machines and dryers are available in the building, free of charge.

Student Accommodation in Venlo

Venlo offers a number of apartments which can be rented by students. Please note that additional costs may be charged by commercial accommodation agencies. In those cases, Fontys does not act as a broker. Please also be informed that student houses are scarce in Venlo, so make sure to start looking for housing in time.
