  • What can you expect from us?

The Fontys Campus Eindhoven programmes have a focus on higher professional university training based on a strong theoretical and practical foundation. Teaching is done by using different methods: theoretical lectures and practical workshops, (laboratory) assignments but also doing applied science projects and self-study activities. In all programmes you can have an influence on your own content and planning of your study. A study counsellor will help you in making the right decisions and a personal tutor will mentor you throughout your study.

  • Study abroad: my first experiences:

Together with my boyfriend I decided to leave Lithuania and travel around the world. First stop: Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Here, I decided to study International Business and Management Studies (IBMS) at Fontys and he chose to study at the University of Technology Eindhoven (TU/e). What I like about IBMS is the type of subjects taught and the international focus - I have always had an interest for Economics and Business.

I enjoy visiting the library to read various management books. After studying IBMS my ambition is to work for a bank as a product or risk manager. But I am not just focussing on this. I also dream about setting up a company in the fashion industry. I must say that I like living in The Netherlands.

The culture and its people appeal to me. At this moment I am member of a badminton club and I will soon start playing for the Dutch national team! This way I learn the ‘Dutch way’ and the language. Since my family doesn’t live in Lithuania anymore my bond with my country of birth has somewhat disappeared. Ultimately I want to live in a country where I feel at home and where I have a challenging job. This might just as well be The Netherlands! I like the type of subjects taught and the international focus.’
