Some students will need a visa. If you are admitted to Fontys Summer School and have paid the tuition fee, we will send you an invitation letter to confirm your admission and payment. This letter can be helpful in applying for a visa.

You can also travel by bus. The train is a good option when you want to visit another city. If you plan to use the train or bus reguraly while staying in the Netherlands, we recommend buying an ‘anonymous OV-chipkaart’ (which can also be used on trams and metros). You can buy the OV-chipkaart at NS ticketing machines or the service desk. There is an one-time fee of EUR 7.50. Your OV-chipkaart is activated as soon as you have topped up its balance and used it to travel with NS. This can be done at an NS ticking machine. If you want to travel by train, you need at least 20 euros worth of balance on your OV-chipkaart! You use the card to check in and check out. For more information, check the website.
