Electrical and Electronic Engineering S3 - Fall semester at Fontys Engineering in Eindhoven
The Electrical and Electronic Engineering S3 program is a program with courses for the starting engineer with 2 years of experience in a similar study program such electrical and/or electronic engineering and who wants to develop knowledge and skills to design and build an electronic engineering product. Attention will be paid to main areas of electronic engineering, like analogue electronics, digital design, control systems and embedded systems. Theory, practice and project work (i.e. two projects with assignments from industry) are alternated.
This programme has been designed for Bachelor students who have completed at least two years of studies in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering including analog and digital design, (embedded) programming and mathematics. The entire programme consists of mandatory courses, including industrial projects.

The (mandatory part of the) program consists of 30 ECTS. It is allowed to compose an individual program with less courses (and hence less ECTS) if your home university allows you to have less credits. The only exception holds for the EXPO 1 and EXPO 2 projects as they are mandatory for all exchange students to participate in. It is not possible to combine courses of this program with any of the other programs.

Mind that you need to have a background of 4 semesters study in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering to be successful in this Exchange program.
How will your course programme be recognised by your home university?
Fontys will provide you with a so-called ‘Transcript of Records’, which will clarify the results that you have achieved. Depending on your results, you will receive a maximum of 30 ECTS credits. ECTS credits are recognised throughout Europe. The agreement between your home university and Fontys University of Applied Sciences will usually include a condition whereby the credits that you obtain will be recognised and transferred into the records kept by your home university.
How to apply as an exchange student
Applications should always be submitted via the International Exchange (or Erasmus) Officer at the home university. If several versions of the programme are offered, please indicate for which version you would like to apply to (Programme I, Programme II, Programme III, etc.) This officer will send your application request (nomination) to Fontys. Once Fontys has accepted the application, your Fontys study department will send you a link to a web application called Mobility Online.
