The end of the academic year 2017/18 is approaching and with it the one-year anniversary of the Master program Performing Public Space.

Master Performing Public Space (PPS)

The one-year international Master Performing Public Space (PPS) is designed for international creatives from a variety of art disciplines, who currently focus on public space as their artistic environment.

This blended-learning program (online/on-campus) is breaking new ground in investigating public space as a backdrop for artistic expression and intervention. Beyond offering state-of-the-art education, the program builds a sustainable international network of professional artists and organizations.

This first ever show-case exhibition & reception of the Master program Performing Public Space (PPS) introduces and presents the Master class of 2017/18. The group of artists from all over the world will present their individual art projects, which engage in the public domain using different perspectives, research methods and art practices.

This guided afternoon, hosted by the core team of the program, combines introductions, displayed project presentations and off-site live-performances in public space.

The PPS team will share insights into the Master’s first year development and will give its guests the opportunity to meet the community of artists, organizations and guest lecturers, who have greatly contributed to the Master program over the past study year.

With this final show-case the program sends off its pioneering international students, who have co-shaped this Master throughout its journey, and represent the foundation of a newly built, ongoing international network focusing on creating art in public space.

PPS hopes to spark and encourage curiosity and discourse, shed light into new artistic approaches and perhaps even shift preconceptions of what art-creation in public space can mean.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon/evening.
Open to the public, No RSV required.
