Everyone who lives in the Netherlands has to register at the city hall as a new citizen.

To live and study in the Netherlands it is advised to open a Dutch bank account.

Pick up the key to your accommodation

If you have applied for accommodation through Fontys, your room is available from February 5th, 2020. Starting from this day, you can pick up your key for your accommodation.

Buddy

A buddy is a current Fontys student, who will be in contact with you during a couple of weeks before your departure as well as during your first weeks here and will answer the general questions that you may have about your future student life.

Residence permit (IND) – for Non EU/EEA students only

If you arrive in The Netherlands with a student visa you will have to pick up your residence permit within 3 months after arrival at the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service). We will arrange a bus trip to the IND in Eindhoven for all visa students to collect their residence permit together.

Class registration

The fully enrolled students will be registered into a class starting from January 16th, 2020. Your class number will be sent to you via e-mail.

Note, that we must have received the hardcopy of your diploma for the class registration.

Medical check

A tuberculosis check is mandatory for international students from specific countries.
