Application procedure for students with an EU / EEA nationality

Step 1
Go to www.studielink.nl and create a personal account.

Step 2
Fill in your personal data and your previous education.

Step 3
Apply for Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences. Fill in the study year, the stream (September or February) and the study of your choice. A few days after completing this step, you will receive your login details for FontysConnect: Fontys’ portal.

Step 4
Within two weeks, you will receive a welcome mail with instruction regarding the application process.

Step 5
Hand in the required admission documents as requested in the welcome mail. The diploma validation can take up to four weeks. Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences will inform you as soon as it has more information regarding your diploma validation. If you are (conditionally) admissible, you can continue with step 6.

Step 6
You will receive a message from Studielink with a request to arrange the payment of your tuition fees.

If you have an IBAN bank account from a SEPA country you can fill in the account data. Make sure you enter the details of your own bank account. Make sure to confirm the digital withdrawal authorization (available from May 2017). Check with your bank if you can authorize Fontys to withdraw money from your account. If not, then transfer the money to Fontys.

Fully enrolled
On Attendance Day (the first day of the academic year), you will be asked to show the original documents that were used for diploma validation . Once these documents are accepted by Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences and you have met all requirements, you will be allocated to a class. You are now fully enrolled.

Application procedure for students with a non-EU / non-EEA nationality

Step 1
Go to www.studielink.nl and create a personal account.

Step 2
Fill in your personal data and your previous education.

Step 3
Apply for Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences. Fill in the study year, the stream (September or February) and the study of your choice. A few days after completing this step, you will receive your login details for FontysConnect: Fontys’ portal.

Step 4
Within two weeks, you will receive a welcome mail with instructions regarding the application process.

Step 5
Hand in the required admission documents as requested in the welcome mail. The diploma validation can take up to four weeks. Step 6
You will receive a payment letter from Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences. Please transfer the fees as stated on this letter, in order to proceed with the next step in the process.

Check with your bank if you can authorize Fontys to withdraw money from your account. If not, then transfer the money to Fontys.

Step 7
Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences will now inform Visacare+ about your request for a study visa. Visacare+ is the department that facilitates your visa application, the student is responsible for timely submission of all documents. All visa related requests and questions (such as login details for Visacare+ and submission of documents) go through this department. You will receive an email from Visacare+ inviting you to start the process. The faster you submit the required documents, the faster Visacare+ can round off your visa application.
