We would like to receive your date and time of arrival as well as information on who we can contact in case of emergency.
Registration at city hall
Everyone who lives in the Netherlands has to register at the city hall as a new citizen.
Opening a bank account
To live and study in the Netherlands it is advised to open a Dutch bank account.
Catering on campus
As of this year we offer catering on campus again. There's a variety of food that can buy in our canteen and it is of course also possible to get some snacks and/or drinks out of the vending machines on campus or to visit one of the nearby supermarkets.
A buddy is a current Fontys student, who will be in contact with you during a couple of weeks before your departure as well as during your first weeks here and will answer the general questions that you may have about your future student life.
Residence permit (IND) – for Non EU/EEA students only
If you arrive in The Netherlands with a student visa you will have to pick up your residence permit within 3 months after arrival at the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service), situated in Den Bosch.
During the introduction week you will be assigned to your class. To register you correctly you need to bring certain documents.
