Studying with a disability
Special circumstances, whatever they may be, whether it be of a physical or a psychological nature, can mean that studying takes a lot of energy and that you need more time than someone without limitations. Here at Fontys we look at what is possible and that is why we support students who study with limitations, such as:
- Dyslexia
- Autism
- ADHD/ADD
- Psychological complaints
- Chronic illness
- Pregnancy
- Personal circumstances (incl. family circumstances)
In some situations you can make use of special facilities and arrangements:
- Extra study guidance
- Extra time during exams
- Large fonts
- Online for summarising, reading and writing
- Adjusted study timetable
- Adjusted testing format
You can submit a request for a facility to the examination board. You will often have to make an appointment with your study coach first.
