Your introduction week

The new academic year starts in September... But before your studies start, you'll first take part in the introduction week. That's Purple 2021! During this introduction week (Monday 23 to Friday 27 August), getting to know each other is key.


Get to know your course and make friends for life

You get to know your fellow students and meet friends for life. You will be introduced to your study programme and study city. You will eat together, discover the city together, get to know each other and the study programme, make memories together and much more... What that will look like, what you need, where you need to be, who you can contact, you can find all that here! We will make it a fantastic week, of course within the Corona rules.

Programme

Below you can see all the activities in which you will participate:

Your first introduction to your bachelor programme is on Monday. We have organized the following for you and your new fellow students:

  • Afternoon: arrival & introduction intro group
  • Evening: pasta dinner @Beachy Tilburg & Disco Snolly party in Poppodium 013

Below you can find the programme for Tuesday.

  • Afternoon: Bike tour along hotspots in Tilburg
  • Evening: BBQ & drinks

On Wednesday you will get to know the city of Tilburg:

  • Morning: breakfast together
  • Afternoon: City Day Leijpark
  • Evening: diner @Studio Tilburg

Photos and videos

During this introduction week, many photos and videos will be made. They will include selfies and videos made by students on mobile phones as well as photos and videos made by professional photographers. By participating in this introduction week you automatically agree that these photos and/or videos are being published (i.a. social media, flyers, ads and websites).

It is forbidden to consume strong drink and drugs. Alcohol is only served and drunk from 4 p.m. In addition to soft drinks, beer and wine are served at the overnight locations during the festivities (from 4 p.m.). If we do find liquor and/or drugs, they will be confiscated and we may send you home. Under the age of 18, alcohol is completely prohibited. Students aged 18 or older will receive an 18+ wristband at the start of the introduction week upon presentation of their ID card.
During the entire introduction week, First Aid / In-house Emergency and First Aid is present. Employees can be recognized by their yellow vests.
Participation during the Fontys ACI introduction week (Monday to Friday) costs a total of €45,-. This includes the costs for: all activities from Monday to Friday including dinner on Monday and Tuesday. You can register and via this link. You will receive the final payment link from us mid-July. You can sign up for the introduction week until Monday August 16 at the latest.
We would like to be informed in advance if there are medical matters that we need to be aware of. This includes illnesses, (food) allergies (epipen) etc. Please mention this in the ticket link you will receive from us in mid-July. You can also contact us by e-mail at aciintro@fontys.nl.
Photos will be taken during the entire introduction week. These may be made public or used for promotional purposes. By participating in the introduction you agree to this (give permission for this).

Staying connected in these times is sometimes quite a challenge. Now that you are going to study you might have been looking forward to many new contacts, parties and other things that are part of a student's life. On the page 'Let's stay connected' we show all kinds of fun initiatives in the field of sports, social events and offers for help. Take a look and take advantage of it. You really don't have to study alone now!
