Accommodation in Tilburg
Finally the day has arrived: you are about to start your life as a student. You have chosen an educational programme and now you want to have living accommodations of your own. To find lodgings you can address your friends and relatives or put an ad on Facebook, e.g. the FHK Facebook Group 'FHK Marktplaats'. You can also check what is on offer in the (local) papers.
No school-related dorms system
As a student you will have to look for accommodation yourself. There is no school-related dorms system in the Netherlands, so basically every student will have to find his/her own place. Tilburg has a vast array of student rooms, both in the private market as well as in the counsel housing market. There are more rooms than students, but in the summer months is might be difficult to find something on short notice.
As far as student housing is concerned, WonenBreburg is the major housing agency in Tilburg and Breda. WonenBreburg customer service: (+31) (0)900 - 0209 (10 ct/min). You have to make an appointment by telephone first. You can also check the wonenbreburg.nl website, or mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Finding a place
Until June 15th, it is possible to ask Fontys to arrange accommodation for you. After that day, you can directly find a place through a private or agency offer. We recommend students to start looking for accommodation early. On this page you will find websites that will help you in your search.
For the private market these websites are a starting point:
