Monday, August 26, 2024
13.00: Your introduction begins! Meet at Camping Walhoeve in Tilburg with your bike and sleeping gear. On Monday, you'll get to know your class and fellow students from Fontys Academy of the Arts.
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
It's time for the Handshake. Today, you'll attend workshops from various art programs at Fontys Academy of the Arts. In addition to different disciplines, you'll also get to know Fontys Academy of the Arts better. We'll end the day with a Disco Party in the Music Hall at school.
Wednesday, August 28, 2024
We'll start the day with sports activities at Sportcenter Tilburg University. Then, your group will engage in a fun group activity, followed by a square party and pub crawl in Tilburg.
Thursday, August 29, 2024
During the Purple Festival at Leijpark, you'll meet all students from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, dance to the coolest music, and, above all, have a lot of fun!
Friday, August 30, 2024
Time to wrap up! Leave the campsite tidy, take all your belongings, and end it nicely with the group.
Photos and videos
During this introduction week, many photos and videos will be made. They will include selfies and videos made by students on mobile phones as well as photos and videos made by professional photographers. By participating in this introduction week you automatically agree that these photos and/or videos are being published (i.a. social media, flyers, ads and websites).

Additional information
Medical, Allergies, and Dietary Requirements
If you have any medical issues, please inform us in advance so we can be aware. Think of chronic illnesses, epilepsy, etc. You can report this via FAA-purple@fontys.nl.
If you follow a diet for medical reasons, have certain food allergies, or are a vegetarian, please indicate this on the registration form. We will try to accommodate this as best as possible. If you have any questions, email FAA-purple@fontys.nl.

Alcohol and Drugs
Possession, use, and trafficking of alcohol and drugs are prohibited. This also applies to other psychoactive substances, such as laughing gas. Alcohol will not be served or consumed before 4:00 PM. Alcohol is prohibited under the age of 18. Violation of these rules will result in confiscation of alcohol and/or drugs, and you may be sent home.
First Aid
First aid/BHV (company emergency response) is available throughout the entire introduction week. Staff can be identified by their yellow vests.

Privacy
Photos will be taken throughout the entire introduction week. These may be made public and/or used for promotional purposes. By participating in the Purple introduction week, you consent to this.
Packing list
To ensure you're fully prepared for Purple, check off the items on the packing list below. Nothing will stand in your way of having a great introduction week.
Make sure you have the following ready for the Purple program when the introduction begins:
• Bike to move between the campsite and the city center
• Identification
• Sleeping gear; air mattress, fitted sheet, sleeping bag, pillow
• Sports clothing and swimming clothing
• Phone charger
• Power bank, so you can charge your phone even without electricity
• If applicable; medication
• And of course, don't forget your good mood and a lot of energy!
FAQ
What will the introduction week for new students look like this upcoming year?
The new academic year starts in the first week of September. However, before classes begin, you'll participate in the Purple Introduction Week 2024 from Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30. This introduction week focuses on getting to know each other.
You'll meet your classmates and make lifelong friends. You'll also get acquainted with your program and the city where you'll be studying. Together, you'll have meals, explore the city, get to know each other and the program, create memories together, and much more...

Do I need to be present every day?
Participation in the full program is mandatory. You'll also sleep the entire week at the Purple campsite. Sleeping elsewhere is not allowed.
Of course, it's possible that due to circumstances, you may not be able to participate in the entire program. In that case, it's important to inform your 'intro parents' and the organization.
Can I get a discount if I can't participate in the entire program due to circumstances?
No, unfortunately, that's not possible.
