Welcome letter - exchange students (ICT)
Dear Exchange student ICT,
The Staff Team and buddy students of Fontys Technology and Business Bachelors (FTB) warmly welcome you to our university.
As from August your home will be in the Netherlands!
From 14 August 2017, your accommodation will become available if you applied for accommodation through Fontys.
The introduction week will take place from Monday, 21 August till Friday, 25 August 2017. We strongly advise you to take part in as many activities as possible because it will help you settling in more easily and you will also meet all your fellow students.
Programme Monday, 21 August 2017:
From 8:00 till 9:30 you need to show your secondary school diploma and transcript at the secretariat, which is in room 2.47, building R1. You then also receive a time slot for making a registration at the town hall (if required).
Programme Tuesday, 22 August 2017 till Friday, 25 August 2017:

Welcome desk days
On 16, 17 and 18 August you are welcome to visit Fontys University, meet our student buddies and have a look around. Location, R1, central hall.
On Monday 22 of August, you will have the opportunity to ask the student buddies all kind of practical questions. You can find them on the 2nd floor, near the secretariat.
For all administrative issues you have to go to the secretariat ( room 2.47)
Mind that you have to show a certified copy or original diploma’s / certificates for verification; this is COMPULSORY. Deadline 25th of August.
Opening Bank Account
After you have arrived in the Netherlands, you can open a Dutch bank account.
You will receive detailed information upon arrival.
For opening a bank account and for buying a sports card, you will need a proof of enrolment. You will receive this letter from the secretariat on Tuesday 22 August (or earlier on request).

Registration city hall Eindhoven
Fontys already has arranged appointments at the city hall for all students who are going to live in Eindhoven; the city hall will refuse individual registrations.
GGD (Municipal health center)
Fontys already has arranged appointments; this is only meant for a specific group of visa applicants (non EU).

To prepare yourself we strongly advise you to read the information in the Student Guide 2017 / 2018.
“Digital” buddy service
Student buddy’s from FTB will help you with all your questions related to coming to Eindhoven, your accommodation, information about the campus, first things to do and exploring the city of Eindhoven. Please send all your questions to: email@example.com
