About Fontys Venlo

Practically oriented

At Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences we prepare you for the work field from the first week of your studies. You will work on projects in cooperation with businesses, you will learn to network and you will be trained in applying for jobs. Besides providing knowledge in the specific area of your study programme, we also focus on your personal development and innovative skills, such as entrepeneurship, creativity and technology.

We have good relations and cooperations with numerous employers, both nationally as internationally. This increases your chances on landing a good job.

Small-scale and personal

Even though Fontys is one of the largest educational institutions of the Netherlands, our university is organised to provide education in small classes. The classes consist of around 30 students. Most international students live in one of our three student apartment blocks, so it's easy for to make friends.

Every student is assigned to a personal study coach. This is a lecturer who guides you through your whole studies and supports you if necessary. They are your personal contact for study-related or personal questions.

International focus

Walking through the buildings you will hear many different languages. There are over 50 nationalities studying and working at Fontys Venlo. The international focus can also be seen in:

• The Language Centre, in which all students can follow language courses
• Exchange possibilities at over 100 partner universities worldwide
• Possibilities to do internships abroad
• International business cases in your lectures
• Various international lecturers

By studying at Fontys Venlo you will have the opportunity to learn about and from other cultures and to learn new languages. When you graduate you will have an extensive international network of fellow students, companies and lecturers.
