The International Business Consultancy program facilitates in training students from all over the world in becoming business consultants. This leads to a global mix of participants collaborating over a variety of assignments and courses. The program is, due to its wide range of law, business and economics courses, suitable for students from different disciplines who want to have a career in business. The mixture of students and highly involved lecturers, result into a small-scale community with mutual interest in business consulting. The combined focus on content and future-proof business skills, lets students really experience business and learn how to create chances for their future career..
Learning to take action
‘Learning to take action’ not only includes business knowledge, but also social commitment, the courage to voice critical opinions and respect for other cultures. Students will be expected to use the analytical competencies that they will acquire to solve ‘real case’ problems effectively. They will do this in internationally oriented groups, as to benefit from intercultural collaborations and different views on solving actual business challenges.
You can attend this programme in the Fall or Spring semester. Our aim is to assist you in developing your professional and social competencies for a successful professional career. The intensive programme focuses on processes and people in all kind of organisations. As such, we will provide you with an international learning environment and with intensive contacts with professionals. Furthermore, we will aim to orientate you towards the profile specifications of an international consultant. This package of skills and knowledge acquired by students enables them to be a proper business consultant.
The IBC program starts in Fall (August/September) and Spring (February) semester. Every semester you can choose from the courses below. You decide which subjects you take and how your study at Fontys will look like!

Eindhoven, internationally known as a centre of science and technology, is the fifth largest city in the Netherlands. The location is very favourable. There are good transportation facilities by car, train and plane. The student are entitled to use the Sports Centre of TU/E, for free of charge. The facilities include swimming, tennis and other kinds of sports. Some major industries are located in Eindhoven, such as Philips and DAF-trucks. There are a host of other things which set Eindhoven apart: the fact that it has its own airport, as well as hotels, cafes, pubs and restaurants, shops of all types and sizes, pleasant, friendly streets, beautiful parks, a lively and attractive centre and cultural and sporting activities of international standing. Most famous is football club PSV. Eindhoven also hosts several art galleries and museums, cinemas, theatres and the Frits Philips Concert Hall.
Fontys has a Fontys International Office (FIO) for foreign students who need help in finding accommodation. If you wish to make use of this service, you can request an application form at the FIO.
How to apply as an exchange student
Applications should always be submitted via the International Exchange (or Erasmus) Officer at the home university. This officer will send your application request (nomination) to Fontys. Once Fontys has accepted the application, your Fontys study department will send you a link to a web application called Mobility Online. Added to the link you will receive all necessary information and a manual.
