We are aiming for an annual reduction in CO2 of at least 3% and we will work towards CO2 neutral business operations in 2030. Besides this, we will develop a plan by 2023 at the latest to become 75% gas-free in 2030. In the near future, we will generate 5% of our energy consumption sustainably by installing 2,700 solar panels in the period 2020-2023. Moreover, in 2023 all our buildings will have energy label A at least. Concretely, for Fontys this means that existing Fontys buildings have to become more energy-efficient and that when climate installations have reached the end of their service lives, they are replaced by gas-free ones. The majority of the electricity we purchase also has to have been generated sustainably. We will also focus on making commuting more sustainable, for instance. Fontys' CO2 footprint will soon be reduced and will ultimately disappear altogether with this package of measures.
