Fontys International Business School offers this MBA programme in cooperation with the FOM - Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management (Essen, Germany).
The MBA study at Fontys International Business School arranges a high-quality economic education for finishing or for augmenting your primary degree. Engineers, lawyers, medical professionals, and social scientists acquire management qualifications relevant for their field of work, while business and political economists benefit from an update of their specific knowledge and additional competences in international business.

What are you going to learn?
During this MBA course, we ensure that you develop the economic know-how you need for a managerial position. The curriculum and the classroom activities of our MBA programme draw in your theoretical and professional expert knowledge. This allows you to gain an understanding of different companies and fields of work along with the various problems and possible solutions. Each lecturer knows about your professional background and your objectives and supports you accordingly.
- Learn from different modules, such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Business Law.
- You can choose to specialise in modules such as International Management, Marketing and Sales Management, or Financial Management.
- Gain general management competencies to meet current and future challenges in business management.
How does the structure of the programme look?
- The study programme consists of 4 semesters. Semester 1 and 2 will be dedicated to following modules. In semester 3, you’ll choose a specialisation, and you’ll write your thesis in the final semester.
- Throughout all semesters and modules, the focus is on providing practice-oriented management knowledge and skills.
- It is possible to work on practical assignments from your company. The direct impact of that acquired knowledge can be part of the examination.

Requirements
Diploma and language requirements EEA
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. The student has been awarded a relevant bachelor degree from a university or university of applied sciences. If you are from abroad and are not sure whether your certificate will be accepted, please contact us for detailed questions.
2. The student has at least two years of professional experience, and is currently employed in a MBA-relevant setting in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium. Please note that the professional experience has to be post-graduate. Compulsory internships during the bachelor studies can be given credit for. The programme is a part-time one. A current employment will have to proven by suited documents. Non EU citizens who apply will have to be legal alien residents. Please note that it is not possible to apply for visa for a parttime study programme.
3. The student provides evidence of a good proficiency in the English language (e.g. TOEIC 700, TOEFL 550 paper / 213 computer-based / 79 internet-based or IELTS academic 6.0). The programme is delivered in English. Due to accreditation and cooperation regulations, the respective certificates are compulsory for everyone.

Costs
Total course-fee: € 13,550 or 2 annual terms of € 6,775 or 4 biannual terms of € 3,387.50 enrolment fee (including examination fee).
The course fee is invoiced in advance at the beginning of each course, study year or semester, depending on the chosen payment option.

Costs-tax deduction promotion
Costs can be deducted in full from taxes or paid by your employer where appropriate. Please consult the programme coordinator.
- Invoice: Fontys will send an invoice for the total amount (€ 13,550.00) in advance and this must be paid before the start.
- Authorisation: payment can be made in installments, either in two annual installments or in four semi-annual installments. Student authorizes Fontys for a direct debit. Every applicant receives a payment agreement at which he or she can indicate his or her choice.
There are currently no scholarships available for the study programmes that we have on offer at our Fontys Venlo campus. However, for other programmes Fontys currently offers several scholarships for Non-Eu / Non-EEA students. You might also be eligible for other scholarships not provided by Fontys. Before starting your study at Fontys, you must find suitable housing. Unfortunately, it is not easy for international students to find accommodation in the Netherlands due to the housing crisis. Start your accommodation search early. Please be aware that finding a place to live is your own responsibility. However, we are happy to assist in any way we can.
