Learning formats

The training offers 3 different forms of learning. These are different ways of acquiring knowledge and skills. They can vary from more structured and predictable, to more open and including the student’s own input.

Characteristics
  • All forms of learning involve working with issues from the ICT professional field
  • The environment is rich in feedback and stimulates you to work actively, often together with others
  • You can choose the learning format that suits you best: course-based, demand-based, or open learning. The degree of predictability, the guidance of the lecturer and the freedom of choice regarding content may differ.
  • From year 2 onwards, you can choose the learning format you prefer each semester.

Second year up until graduation:

From year 2 onwards, all HBO-ICT students from Course Based and Demand Based education will be merged in one group. Students can choose a specialisation each semester and opt for a learning method that best suits them at that moment. In year 1, students could choose between Course Based and Demand Based, but now there’s also the option of Open Learning. This offers you the possibility to follow a personally composed programme (open learning), whereby you determine the content of your training yourself. From year 2 up to graduation, you can choose from 3 learning formats each semester! You will also receive excellent guidance in choosing the learning format that best suits you at that moment.
