Fontys collaborates closely with other Dutch universities and Universities of applied sciences in the field of internationalisation and the promotion of the Netherlands as a destination for foreign students. Within the Brainport programme, Fontys has contributed to the international promotion of the Eindhoven region as a knowledge region.

New partner universities

The number of exchange agreements across the board at Fontys with partner universities grew from seventeen in 2009 to 24 in 2010. New partners were selected on the basis of quality, profile matching with Fontys and student demand. A number of Fontys courses have no partner university and do not offer courses taught in English. Students in these courses can nonetheless spend a period abroad, thanks to these exchange agreements.
