Application: two steps

Your application consists of two steps.

1. Start with making an enrolment request on www.studielink.nl (see below). After one day you will receive a fontys student number. 
2. Continue with filling out the digital application for an entrance exam here
   (one month prior tot the entrance examination date).

Studielink

Fontys is connected to Studielink (Study Link), an online enrolment system pertaining to Dutch Higher Education. Via Studielink, you can submit enrolment applications for course programmes at the Fontys Hogescholen (Fontys University of Applied Sciences).

DigiD

To log in to Studielink, you will need a ‘DigiD’ code. As processing requests for DigiD codes can take approximately five working days, please be sure to request your code via DigiD.nl in timely fashion.

N.B.: Please note that student grants and/or loans should be requested via the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs, or ‘DUO’ (the governmental organisation responsible for the execution of education in The Netherlands). For this purpose, you will need your DigiD, together with SMS-authentication, so do not forget to submit your request for a DigiD code!

Registering & Application forEnrolment (AFE) via Studielink

You will need to submit your personal details (please ensure that you have your passport and/or ID card to hand), ensuring that all details are entered correctly, i.e. capital letters where required, as follows:

• At the option, 'Check Prior Education', select ‘YES’.
• Select the option, ‘New Enrolment Application’.
• Select the option, ‘2012-2013 Academic Year’ and follow the steps to select the course programme of your choice.
• Enter the details of your prior education and answer the supplementary questions.
• Check and select your address details.
• Enter all required payment details.
• Click on ‘Send my Enrolment Application’, whereby your Application for Enrolment will be sent to the Fontys Hogescholen. After your AFE has been sent, you will receive an e-mail from Studielink confirming that your AFE has been sent and you will receive an Email from Fontys School of fine and performing arts how to apply for the entrance exam.

To avoid any misunderstandings, please use the following details:

                * CROHO = Dutch Central Register of Higher Education Study Programmes.

N.B.: Please note that by entering your payment details and/or your bank account number, you have not yet paid anything. Payments are NOT arranged via Studielink. Payments CAN be arranged by following the instructions that you will receive in your Enrolment Package from Fontys!

Finalise your enrolment before 01 September

It is important that you finalise all matters relating to your enrolment as soon as possible and certainly before 01 September, at the latest.

The Fontys Hogescholen will advise you of any remaining steps that you must take in order to finalise your enrolment. You will receive an Enrolment Package containing a number of items, including a form relating to your Tuition Fees.
