Unlike most other programmes in this guide, Fontys School of Social Studies (FSSS) does not offer fixed exchange programmes, but tailor made offers with English modules meeting your needs and wishes. If you feel human work matters, you might be interested in an exchange period offered by the School of Social Studies. You have the opportunity to do a practice placement, carry out a research project and join English modules (each of 6 ECTS).
Themes currently offered by FSSS are:
- Video Interaction Training
(in social work, especially in working with families); - Sexual abuse
(theory and methods on people who are victims); - Methods of group work;
- Social policy and social work in Europe;
- Participation and empowerment of service users (mainly in psychiatry).
Since each student will follow his or her own tailor made programme, the learning outcomes for each individual student will be different.
