International career
The individual European markets, businesses and currencies are growing towards a united Europe. For young adults an international education is an important step towards future Europe. Especially the economics courses offer excellent prospects. Not only production companies, but also the rapidly growing Tertiary Sector (trade, banks, insurance, consultancy) and government need qualified economists in all departments.
IBE students graduate with a real international orientation. During the first year they function as an assistant controller and a responsible advisor. Also during the main phase of the study course do these positions belong to the assignment areas, additionally they will come across functions as costs and accounting, tax and due diligence manager. They learn to become a consultant or analyst and they are responsible for risk management, organisation and internal communication.
Word from the field
Michael Alberti, manager production planning and control,
Robert Bosch N.V., Belgium
"Our department Production Planning and Control of Robert Bosch Productie N.V. established in Tienen, Belgium employed several interns of IBE during last years. We especially appreciate the practical orientation they are given by Fontys Internationale Hogeschool Economie. Besides this their readiness and ability to work and integrate in teams and their communication competence (also in foreign languages) is a benefit. The latter is especially in our producing departments and also in our Communication and Change Management (CIP) essential to work up. More interns are always welcome!”
