| ‘Four years of good education and a lot of fun’ Lonneke Hendrix, Controller Philips Software, Alumna IBE: ‘I graduated in June 2000. After four years of good education and a lot of fun and learning experiences, I could easily step in the short University program Business Economics (two year program). The combination of both programs gives me a lot of opportunities to start working in the real Business world named Philips. Currently I will start a new opportunity as the controller for Philips Software. Therefore I need a lot of competencies that I also learned in Venlo. My communication style and my economic background are basic competencies I need every day. For me, the choices I made in the past, contribute every day to my responsibilities and tasks.’ | |
'Practice approach' Samuel Turnwald, Alumnus IBE: 'After I read about Fontys in a newspaper article I became aware of the university and the Open Dag convinced me to enroll. One thing was obvious to me: I wanted to study business administration! Hower Fontys gave me through its internalization and practice approach that certain something to distinguish themselves from the classic Geman business students to differentiate. Fontys offers me many opportunities, to adapt the knowledge learned from the lecture, directly into action.' | ‘I especially profited from the communication skills I achieved’ Robert Schmalenbach, Alumnus IBE: ‘In my first work placement I had the opportunity to apply all my marketing knowledge together with a deep analysis of the special topic. I especially profited from the communication skills I achieved during my study course.’ | |
